What does the process look like from start to finish?

We’ve built our process to be clear, collaborative, and efficient.

  4. Planning, Permitting & Budgeting — we handle initial designs and concepts, city approvals, and permits all while providing a line-item by line-item project feasibility. 
  5. Construction — your experienced and dedicated project team builds with precision and accountability. 
  6. Delivery & Warranty — Celebrate receiving your keys along with a two-year warranty backed by a dedicated warranty manager. 

Most luxury homes range from 12 to 24 months from planning to completion, depending on the size of the home, level of customization, and permitting timelines. The design and architectural phase alone typically takes a minimum of 6 months before  construction begins. We’ll give you a realistic timeline at the start of your project and keep you updated at every stage.

Every Emery Lane project is assigned an experienced construction manager, a dedicated superintendent, and a project coordinator. You’re not passed around, you have a consistent team who knows your project inside and out from day one. 

As involved as you’d like to be. At minimum, you’ll receive regular weekly updates and have access to real-time project progress through our project management platform. Our team sends outs weekly updates and always encourages formal walkthroughs at key milestones throughout construction so you can see your home taking shape firsthand. 

Yes. Our team manages all permitting, city and HOA approvals, and construction oversight from start to finish. You won’t need to navigate that process on your own. 

Yes. This is one of the most important things that sets us apart from production builders or spec-only developers. With a custom build, you work directly with our team and architectural partners to design the floor plan, room configuration, and layout that fits your lifestyle. We’re not asking you to choose from a set of pre-drawn plans. 

Yes. Depending on the phase of construction, buyers have the opportunity to select or approve finishes, fixtures, flooring, cabinetry, countertops, and other design elements. Our team will walk you through the selection process with guidance from our talented design partners to help you make decisions that are both beautiful and cohesive. 

Custom home pricing depends on a wide range of factors — lot cost, square footage, design complexity, materials, and site conditions. Price per square foot could be as low as $500, or above $1,000, based on the specific project. 

We work within clearly defined budgets established after your design and plans are complete, so there are no surprises. We’ll give you a realistic picture early in the process.
