Custom luxury home builders in Scottsdale, Paradise Valley, Arcadia, Biltmore, Phoenix Valley and surrounding areas
Emery Lane Homes was founded in 2019 by Chad Klock and Richard Cardenas, two family men with a shared belief that the homebuilding industry was overcomplicating something that should feel personal and straightforward.
Chad brings over a decade of deep roots in the Phoenix real estate market, with a background in finance and home builder representation and more than $100 million in residential, multifamily, and commercial transactions. Richard brings 20+ years as a general contractor and developer, with nearly 800 homes built or remodeled across the country. Together, they built Emery Lane around a simple idea: homes should be designed around how families actually live — not around trends, wasted space, or unnecessary complexity.
The name Emery Lane Homes is meant to tell a story. Emery is the small South Dakota town where Chad grew up, which hosted a tight-knit community where relationships were built to last. He wanted the brand to carry that same honest, small-town feeling into every project. We want every client to live life on the lane.
Emery Lane Homes builds throughout the Phoenix metro’s most desirable luxury markets, including Paradise Valley, Scottsdale, Arcadia, and the Biltmore corridor. Our team has deep roots in these neighborhoods and an in-depth understanding of local design standards, HOA requirements, and resale dynamics, so every home we build is positioned to perform in its market.
Both. We build luxury custom homes designed entirely around your vision, and we also develop premium spec homes in sought-after Phoenix neighborhoods. Whether you have a lot and a set of ideas, or you’re looking to purchase a nearly-complete or move in-ready luxury home, Emery Lane has an option for you.
